Kitchen tip,
Vacuum seal without a vacuum sealer
A Ziploc freezer bag, a sink of water and maybe a straw, the water pressure pushes the air out. Good for storage and sous-vide.

The problem
A vacuum sealer is handy, but not everyone has one at home.
The fix
Put your product in a Ziploc freezer bag and leave a small opening. Dunk the whole bag underwater, the pressure pushes the air out to the top. For a perfect seal, use a straw to suck out the last bit of air, then close it.
Handy for keeping your produce fresh longer, creating more space in your fridge, or sous-viding something.
