How to save your burnt toast
Last two slices of bread and the toaster burnt them? Grate off the burnt bits with a microplane and retoast.

The problem
You want some toasted bread, these were your last two pieces, and you accidentally slid the toast intensity slider all the way to burnt.
The fix
Grab your toast and a microplane, and grate off the burnt bits. Keep going until you're satisfied with the colour, then retoast if you want. Way better than burnt toast.
