If you have leftover stale bread laying around and it doesn't have mold on it, don't throw it out, do this instead. Stale bread makes the best croutons, and after this there's no more need to throw out any bread.
Ingredients
- leftover stale bread (no mold)
- a good amount olive oil
- to taste salt and pepper, or Italian herbs, whatever you like
Method
- 1
Cut the bread into cubes, whatever size you like.
- 2
Pour over a good amount of olive oil and add some salt, pepper or Italian herbs.
- 3
Put them in the oven at 190°C (375°F) for 15 to 20 minutes. Lovely croutons.
