Mini Tarte Tatin, a Little Pie for Everyone
Tarte tatin is a French pastry that is absolutely delicious, and it only takes a few ingredients, if you have apples and puff pastry, you're basically there. Instead of making a whole pie, we're making cute small mini tarte tatins in cupcake molds, so everybody gets their own little pie.
Ingredients
- 100 g granulated sugar
- apples, cut into slices
- puff pastry sheets
- 40 g unsalted butter
Method

Preheat your oven to 190 °C.

Cut up your apples into slices.

In a large saucepan on medium heat, add the 100 g granulated sugar and let it completely caramelize, about 5 minutes.

Add the 40 g unsalted butter and mix, then add your apples and coat them with the caramel.

Grease your silicone cupcake molds, add a few slices of apple to each, and cover with a sheet of puff pastry. Poke a few holes with a fork.

Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Carefully turn them upside down and push them out of the silicone molds.
